The Program staff will pick up your child at 3:15 from the Murch Library only
Please inform the child’s teacher about the day he/she will attend language classes. All the children must meet the Language Program staff in the Library. Due to the large number of students attending each day, individual pick up from each class will not be possible. If the children don’t meet promptly at the Library, we’ll have to look individually for them. This will only delay the start of classes and generate a safety issue for the children.
Please remind and instruct your child to meet the Language Program staff in the Library the day of his/her language class even if your child is enrolled in Murch Extended Day.
The children in the Kaufman wing (Pre-K and K) will be accompanied to the program by a designated Murch Staff and Ms. Marcus, Mr. Welsh's aide.
It will be the parent’s responsibility to inform their Murch teacher about the child's enrollment in the Language Program. Parents are also responsible for instructing their child (or children) about meeting the Language Program Coordinator in the Library at 3:15 on the day of language classes.
Murch Students enrolled in Murch Extended Day
If you wish your child to return to Murch Extended Day after language class, please let us know and we will drop him/her off.
Schedule changes
If you begin a month with us, we will assume that there will be no schedule changes throughout the month. We ask that you inform the Language Program of your schedule changes at least six weeks prior to your change.

Students coming from other schools
Children coming from other schools must be dropped off by a parent or caregiver.

Snow
If DCPS schools close earlier, there will be no language classes in the afternoon. If it snows and the school IS NOT CLOSING early, language classes will run that afternoon even if DCPS cancels afternoon activities.
Late Pick-up
Please call us if you are more than 5 minutes late (202) 487-1857. Fees for late pick-up are $10 (up to 30 minutes) and $15 over 30 minutes.
